Full Committee Oversight Hearing on “Oversight of the Actions, Independence and Accountability of the Acting Inspector General of the Department of the Interior”
On
August 2, 2012, the House of
Representatives, Natural Resources
Committee had an oversight hearing on
the independence and accountability of
the Department of the Interior’s Office
of Inspector General. Most of the
hearing focused on the Obama
Administration’s decision to include a
Gulf drilling moratorium in a
Departmental report. However, there
were additional questions to the OIG
about my scientific integrity
allegation. Despite my close
communication with various members of
the OIG regarding my allegation, the
Acting Inspector General, Mary Kendall,
had little recollection of my case, and
that the OIG records seem to be
incomplete about my case. She did
acknowledge that my allegation appears
worthy of an OIG investigation. More
information on the hearing can be found
below.
The topic is
discussed at 58min and 2hr, 22min into
the hearing by Congressman McClintock.
