"(Cherokee Elaine) Willman highlighted some of the work done by the Citizens Equal Rights Alliance (CERA), where she sits on the board, to help Indians having problems with their tribal governments. “Many of my friends are tribal families,” Willman said, noting that she spent decades living on Indian reservations. “We provide whatever resources we can to tribal persons at odds with their tribal government. Within those tribal governments, members do not have the First Amendment, they do not even have parental rights.” In some cases, she said, tribal governments deprive parents of their parental rights and take their children away as a result of disagreements with tribal officials...Fringe left-wing groups and their “fake news” allies went wild in the days before the conference, but the summit nevertheless succeeded in educating citizens, policymakers, and lawmakers from across the region."

Energy Bill’s Hidden Provisions Undermine Western and Rural U.S. Property Owners, Western States Constitutional Rights LLC 9/15/16. "Senate Bill S. 2012 (Murkowski, AK) has secretly swallowed up S. 3085 (Roberts,KS) - a Forestry Management Bill that transfers management of any national forest within 100 miles of a tribal reservation, or to any tribe with ancestral or cultural ties to a national forest. This will give tribal governments: 1) control of all water (snowpack mountain run-off); and 2) let tribal governments determine appropriate uses of the national forests regarding hunting, fishing, trail-hiking, recreating by non-tribal citizens. When strong opposition emerged opposing numerous forestry management bills in the Senate and House that were transferring forestry management to tribal governments, Senators and Congressmen played "hide the ball" quickly last week by tucking this egregious Tribal Forestry Management provision into an Energy Bill that is close to a vote - perhaps this week or next. Call your Senators and Congressmen and raise holy hell. This could easily transfer national forestry management to tribes for every national forest in the Western States." Elaine Willman

"I have been following Klamath water and dam issues since 2003 and have recently noticed commonalities simultaneously occurring in the southwestern Oregon and Northern California area, and on the Flathead Indian Reservation where I live in Western Montana...I have a 30-year career in government, and have researched federal Indian policy for 25 years. I have conducted workshops and keynote addresses across the country, authored two books, and work with numerous expert legal counsels in multiple states. Montana and Oregon landowners are most fortunate to have located and obtained Mr. Kogan’s services. Among strong legal champions, he stands at the top of the list...Landowners here have been unable to find a single Montana attorney willing to protect their property/water rights, their constitutional and civil rights. Landowners were able to locate Lawrence Kogan, a New York City attorney to represent them in litigation just now initializing. Mr. Kogan also represents Siskiyou County and the Klamath Irrigation District... Supporters of this egregious CSKT Water Compact called Mr. Kogan “that New York City attorney,” too... Supporters of the compact did everything they could to trash him in Montana newspapers and everywhere possible. But for Mr. Kogan’s courage and perseverance, and clients who so believe in him, 35,000 people in Montana will have forever lost their water rights, access to water, State and federal constitutional protections, and authority over non-tribal lands on the Flathead Reservation."

Will the United States (and Klamath Basin) Go the Way of Zimbabwe? by Elaine Willman, MPA, 4/10/16. "All the western states are targets for the removal of food production. That’s the goal of the current federal administration that harmonizes nicely with the One World Order folks. In Bellingham, Washington, thanks to a huge EPA grant to the Swinomish tribe, enormous billboards on the Interstate trash their area farmers for “polluting the waters.” In California, the San Joaquin Valley has already had its crop production decimated, and that area once provided over 20% of our country’s food...."

NOW is the time to become informed and push back on the federal government over-reaching in our Western states. The spreading epidemic of tribalism in America, by Elaine Willman, News With Views, 1/11/16. "The Obama Administration poured accelerant into the expansion of tribalism with two recent, alarming policies: 1) President Obama decided that the nation’s public utilities, power and energy grid are good “economic development” for conversion to Indian tribal assets. Obama and Congress have funded billions of dollars out to tribes for transitioning major dams, energy corporations, and confiscation and control of water across the country. 2) Obama and Congress have determined that tribal government interactions with Middle Eastern countries is now a great idea for Indian “economic development” too (the Hearth Act of 2012)."

"How long we continue to celebrate America's Independence Day depends upon whether citizens and their elected officials find it necessary to secure our guaranteed unalienable rights and the domestic tranquility."

Elaine Willman: "Do you know... that six months after the destruction of the Twin Towers, a Washington State tribe hosted "civic journalists" from Algeria, Morocco, Qatar, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen? The reservation in question is bounded on the East by the Hanford Nuclear site; on the South by the Umatilla Chemical Weapons Storage Facility; on the West by the Yakima Military Training Center; and on the North by several major dams including the Grand Coulee Dam—many of which dams Northwest tribes have openly admitted they want to see removed."

Conflict no deterrent for new Hobart administrator, Green Bay Press Gazette, posted to KBC 3/16/08. KBC Note: Elaine Willman, Cherokee descent, sent us this article. She told us this evening that the Assistant Secretary of the Interior Carl Artman, Indian Affairs, said "the IGRA (Indian Gaming Regualtory Act) is not about gambling, not about commercial enterprises; it's about govermental jurisdiction."

"Do you know... that one small Montana tribe of 5,130 people had, in 2004, an annual Operational Management Budget of $373 million? This annual budget of a single tribe is larger than the national U.S. Fish and Wildlife's annual budget for the entire country."
